The residents of these polar areas speak at length in interviews conducted specially for this exhibition. They talk about their country and culture, the present and the past. The Netherlands will also be affected by the melting ice. That is why the exhibition is also about the Netherlands. What does the possible rise in sea level mean for us?

The most ingenious objects illustrate how the residents have already adapted to the changing environment for centuries. Pessoalmente, sinto-me muito deprimido ao ver que o Homem é mesmo uma besta. Uma besta quadrada para não o confundir com outras bestas, diz que irracionais mas que se calhar ainda serão mais racionais que nós. Julgamo-nos seres superiores e afinal só temos um alvo para o nosso olhar. Dinheiro, dinheiro e bem-estar material.
Será que não conseguimos parar e raciocinar? Afinal somos bestas racionais ou mais irracionais que as ditas irracionais?

Quanto ao artesanato em Maputo a que se refere, do meu post, muito sinceramente não lhe sei responder . Será que os naturais, os que fabricam aquelas peças, as apreciam , actualmente, como os seus ancestrais que as usavam no seu quotidiano e adoravam.
Uma boa questão, sem dúvida.
